In order to become a painter, he needs to be a learner. Yet he does not consider learning as a duty. Learning is an enjoyment.
He has just finished a painting of a fisherman’s daughter on the beach, carrying her baby brother. He feels a deep satisfaction in his heart, because the painting is the result of a long journey of learning. He has learnt, indirectly, from other painters, from his wife, daughters, friends, and from nature, animals, see, mountains, clouds, bacteria, fungi. He not only had seen or known his object, Surya, the fisherman’s daughter, but he had talked to her, intensely, gave her a little present, respected her, and admire her, but he had also listened and and learned a piece of life from the eleven years old girl. A piece of life which enriches his own life.
It is the energy of those experiences, those feelings and respects, that produces the painting that makes him and his painting disolve into each other, to become a unity.

The life of a painter is living with creativity. As a painter, he needs creativity more than anything else. The Painter knows, from his study and feeling, that the source of his creativity lays in the universe. It lays in the void which is the source of everything, the source of matter, energy, atoms, human beings, stars.
He understands that creativity is not a matter of thought, or of brain, or of logic. Creativity is a kind of energy which emerges form the void, from nothingness. He understands that the only ways of gaining creativity are practice and meditation. By making his body more relaxed, his mind becomes less and less active. And by shutting his mouth and calming his mind The Painter goes deeper into the universe, into the source of ideas, the source of every thing.

To produce a beautiful painting The Painter needs to develope a point of interest in his canvas, which becomes a focus of the viewers’ sight when they look at the painting.
With his understanding that painting is the miniature of life, The Painter understand that he can follow the principle of point of interest or focus in his wider life. Besides painting he likes teaching people spiritual leadership with NLP and hypnotherapy, he can enjoy reading, writing, swimming, and training aikido. Those enjoyments could easily distract his life from his focus, if he has lack of awareness.
He is aware that without a focus his life would be as diffused as a painting without point of interest.

His painting which depicts four Balinesse Barongs needs finishing touch.
For two days he look at his painting with no satisfaction yet. Using his mind and feeling he knew that there was not enough harmony in it. It seemed to have dualism in point of interest. He is satisfied with the composision, but he is not quiet certain which part of the painting needs correction. In that situation he needed the sharpness of his feeling rather than his mind. But the day before he had a whole day chat with his wife and visitors which makes his heart not sensitive enough to detect the short comings of his painting.
The Painter knew that he needed to meditate.
Then, his feeling told him to darken the back ground of the left Barong, and to add some touches of dark red on the back ground on top right side. Some red touches on the face of left barong made it looked more artistic.
The few finishing touches needed two days to prepare. It needed some enforcement of his mind, his feeling, and above all, the cerenity of his heart and mind. It needed a smooth connection of his mind, heart, and his soul.
